What is Restorative Dental Care?

Restorative dental care includes any procedure which aims to restore your smile's normal function and appearance.

By repairing your smile's structural issues like missing or damaged teeth, our dentists are able to restore your smile to its natural look and function along with your oral health.

Depending on your issue, the dentists at Reflections Dental Health Centre will determine the right restorative treatment option for you.

Dental Crowns

Crowns are porcelain caps placed onto your teeth to restore their function and appearance. Crowns are used to attach bridges to your teeth, to cover dental implants and to prevent cracked teeth from growing worse. They are also able to help restore discolored or stained teeth to more natural appearances.

Dental Bridges

Bridges are natural-looking tooth replacements that are bonded to existing dental implants or teeth in order to replace a section of missing teeth. Since they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and are able to restore the natural contour of your teeth as well as the alignment of your bite between your upper and lower jaw.

Dental Fillings

At Reflections Dental Health Centre, we use composite fillings that are tooth-coloured to repair damage caused by cracks and cavities. These fillings are able to withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing and can be used on both the front and back of teeth.

Full & Partial Dentures

Dentures are artificial teeth used to replace one missing tooth or several in a row (partial dentures), or a whole jaw of missing teeth (full dentures). They allow patients with missing teeth to maintain their face structure, and talk and eat properly.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings used to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard dental filling. They are custom-made in a dental laboratory and are then permanently cemented to the tooth as a single piece.

Root Canals

A root canal is a procedure where your dentist removes diseased blood vessels, nerves and tissues from the interior of a tooth. By removing the decay and bacteria, your dentist can help halt the spread of infection and prevent the need for an extraction.

Periodontal (Gum) Therapy

Gum disease is an infection affecting the tissues of the mouth including the gums gingiva, periodontal ligament, cementum, alveolar bone and more. If this disease is caught in its earliest stages, preventative therapy will be recommended. Otherwise, treatment methods will depend on the severity of the disease.
