I had such a fantastic experience at this dental clinic! From the moment I walked in Irene at the front desk made me feel so welcome—she was friendly professional and set the tone for a great visit. My hygienist Kendra was also phenomenal—so thorough and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything and sent me home with a ton of helpful tips. Dr. Ryan was absolutely incredible—so gentle thorough and kind. He made sure I was comfortable every step of the way and was incredibly knowledgeable. There was also an assistant helping him (I can’t remember her name right now unfortunately!) but she was wonderful as well and really added to the great experience. Plus I even got an electric toothbrush! I really can’t stress enough how thorough and kind everybody was. I honestly can’t wait for my next visit—such an amazing team and experience. Highly recommend!

Finally I have found a dentist that will help me learn how to keep the teeth I have left. The dentist was wonder She is helping me take care of my teeth and and in the years ahead. Historically I have had a fear of dentists and have tried many. But no one made me comfortable and helped with my fears until Dr. Tejal Makwana and her team. They are such professionals and gentle souls. I love the pet videos and the rubber avacado great distractions. They’re truly amazing and I would highly recommend.

Our Dentists

Dr Ryan Tsang

General Dentist

Dr. Tsang graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2000. During his program, he earned a BSc. (Dent) degree for his research entitled "Factors Influencing the Number of Bacteria in Saliva". He was also awarded for his achievements in Crown and Bridge construction and Restorative Dentistry with the use of composite materials (tooth coloured fillings).

Dr. Tsang has been in private practice since graduation where he provides a wide range of care. Since 2003, he has held a teaching position at the Faculty of Dentistry, where he instructs 3rd-year dental students in a clinical setting in root canal therapy.

Dentistry is both an art and a science. His commitment to science is evident in the continuing education that he pursues. He has completed the prosthetic program at the Misch Implant Institute, has had training in soft tissue lasers, and is currently enrolled in the Kois Centre. He also maintains his membership with the American Association of Endodontics and the Winnipeg Progressive Dental Study Club, a local affiliate of the Seattle Study Club. In his spare time, his artistic side is explored through photography and stays physically active with ice hockey.

Dr Tejal Makwana

General Dentist

Dr. Tejal Makwana has been practicing dentistry since 2003 in three different countries. Originally from India, Dr. Makwana also practiced in Oman for seven years, and now calls Winnipeg home. She received her DMD in Canada from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Dentistry under the International Dentist Degree Program. She was awarded the Pornoy Award for initiating and completing a challenging, comprehensive restorative treatment in a General Practice Clinic.

Dr. Makwana enjoys all aspects of dentistry and loves working with patients of all ages, especially children. In Oman, she often performed dental procedures under general anesthesia on children with special needs. When she wasn’t in the office, she volunteered in various dental camps in schools and orphanages.

An artist and science enthusiast, Dr. Makwana believes dentistry to be her calling. In Winnipeg, she works with the community clinic Home Dental Care Program and the Smile Plus providing services to children and seniors.

Dr. Makwana brings a vibrant cultural background from the countries she has lived in, and she is trilingual! She speaks English, Hindi, and Gujarati. When she’s not practicing, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and dancing. She is also a trained Indian classical dancer and has won awards for her performances.
Dr Eniola Abodunde

General Dentist

Dr Abodunde is a dedicated dentist who brings a unique blend of international experience and a passion for patient-centered care to Reflections Dental Health Centre. Originally trained in Nigeria, Dr Abodunde completed dental school at the University of Ibadan, gaining valuable experience in comprehensive oral healthcare and developing a strong foundation in clinical dentistry. She also actively participated in community dentistry and provided care for areas that had limited/no access to dental care

After moving to Canada, Dr Abodunde completed the International Dentist Degree Program at the University of Manitoba, obtaining her DMD and gaining insight in to the Canadian dental healthcare system. This journey has strengthened her commitment to providing compassionate, evidence based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Dr Abodunde enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and believes that creating a comfortable, trusting environment is an essential part of quality dental care. She is passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles and looks forwards to serving patients with warmth, professionalism and dedication.
