Oral diseases

The condition of your teeth and your gums effect the overall health of your body. It is important to understand oral diseases, how to recognize them, and how to prevent them.

Cavities: Dental decay is a disease that can damage your tooth structure. Decay starts by the damage of your tooth’s enamel, causing a hole (cavity) to develop. When the bacteria in plaque reacts to sugars being consumed, acid is formed. This acid attacks the sufrace of the tooth and can be very painful.

Gun disease: Gum disease is a common ailment facing many adults. It is the inflammation of gums, bone, and tissue that surround the tooth. This disease can be very hard to spot, reason being that it’s early stages are devlop slow and happen without any pain.

Oral Cancer: Oral Cancer can be successfully treated if caught at an early stage. If not treated early then it can spread to other parts of the body and then this makes it more difficult to treat. By Dr. Ken Hamin
